Oh, no! I hope your son is ok. Now, my husband has it. Oh, boy! What a wonderful thing to be going around in the summer. (That was sarcastic, in case you didn't know.)

Thanks for the praise, but I had a lot of nap-time to type.

BTW, Heidi's beet salad was really easy. It only took a couple of minutes. Probably less if you have a food processor. Perfect!

xoxo,
Tia :P

Why, thank you, Shirley! I wish we all lived near each other so we could actually do this round up in person and try it all. Wouldn't that be a tasty treat?

Well, I have to keep my replies short because now, I have two sick boys. Yuck! I guess I'm next.

Thank you! I'm glad you found the time to blog. I've heard that Martha can keep people pretty busy. :)

It's a good thing I got the round-up done when I did. The Little Man is still recovering. Almost there. But, now, the Big Man has it. It's not pretty. He was out of bed for less than 5 minutes this morning before he had to go back. I'm really crossing my fingers I don't get it. Yikes!

Thanks, Iris! That's ok about not adopting. Life gets in the way sometimes. :) I love reading about the other adoptions, too. Gives me lots of ideas for some great food to make.

Awesome roundup!! And yes, just reading it made me really hungry :) By the way, I saw your question regarding sunbutter, and a couple of other people emailed me about it, so I wrote a post up today. I recommend the Organic Sunbutter :)

Tia, you did such an awesome round-up!
I have been dying to try Elana's beet hummus recipe since I have seen so many people talk about it. THe color of it in Maggie's photo looks stunning!
And that beet zucchini pizza of Melissa's looks like a crazy fun combination of flavors! And yes, I do agree that Wendy's pictures look amazing!
I have been on a total beet kick lately (especially the golden ones), so I am also totally anxious to try Heidi's beet salad that you made. It looks so awesome (plus I am a total sucker for goat cheese).
By the way, I saw that Wendy mentioned you were dealing with vomiting and fevers. My 3year old just went through that this morning. Must be something going around Cali (we are in Oceanside, CA right now and many of our friends and fam have had something here). Kudos to you for getting this up while dealing with that!

Wow, what a wonderful roundup! Everyone did an incredible job, not the least of which is YOU, Tia--bravo! I always love your posts anyway because they are such an enjoyable read, as well as just overall well done. :-)

ROFL about Wendy being Martha's BFF! But, I do agree that her photos of the dishes she made of Melissa's are sensational. And, there's always "a lot of truth in jest" ... so hmmm, I'm not sure now. ;-)

xo,
Shirley

[...] You’ll find a variety of recipes on Wendy’s blog. Many others caught my eye and will be on my menu in the future; e.g., fish cakes (that can made with salmon, cod, or another fish of your choice); crispy vegetable and risotto cakes; and summer turkey salad. Go check out Wendy’s blog. You’ll end up wanting to adopt her, too! And, don’t forget to wish her a happy birthday when you visit! Last, the complete roundup of all the adoptions is up over at Glugle Gluten Free; check it out here. [...]

Tia, you did a wonderful job of rounding up all the adoptions and your comments were too funny. Yes, Martha and I are BFFs. I just blog in my spare time for fun. The fact that you pulled all this together during what sounded like trying times with a sick little one is terrific. You get the GF Blogger Purple Heart Award for getting the job done from the trenches of young motherhood and prevailing despite projectile vomiting and fevers.
