Pomegranates are probably my favorite food. I could live on them. But, they have one major flaw. Peeling them. They have this tough skin that gets hard as a rock if, God forbid, you leave them too long before getting around to peeling them. Try to peel that thing off without popping a bunch […]
Please, please, please forgive me. I am begging you. If it’s any consolation, at least I only poisoned myself in our household. I am hoping no one has had time to make the Asada Stew recipe I posted a couple of days ago. It was brought to my attention by Anne of Gluten-Free Musings that […]
I don’t understand what all of this fuss is about. Sorry, but I just don’t get it. Well, maybe I do, but… Here’s the thing. There have been great gluten-free pancake mixes available for a while, now. When I had to go gluten-free about four years ago, the first thing we looked for was a […]
This was a rough. I’m not sure I can ever do something like this again. Do you know how hard this was? I had to look at all of these wonderful pictures of all of this fabulous looking food showing up in my email, and I didn’t get to actually eat any of it. Now, […]
I have come to the realization that I am the queen of coming up with amazing ideas… about a day and a half too late. But, they are still pretty good. Alison from Sure Foods Living runs the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) meeting that I attend in Marin County, CA. At our last meeting, […]
So, here is part two of our getaway. I’ll just jump right in. After getting all of the fabulous opinions, we headed off on our journey. We made an appointment with Vincent Arroyo Winery for 12:30pm, but on the way, we got stuck behind a painting truck. The kind that paints the stripes on the […]
Shhhh. Don’t tell the Big Man that I put a picture of him on here. Well, it came. No matter how much we all wish it wouldn’t. It finally came for me. And it wasn’t so bad. Especially because I made sure it came with style. And fun. And lots of great food and […]
While checking in on twitter the other day, I had a DM waiting for me. (For those who don’t use twitter, it means Direct Message, as opposed to a tweet. Only I could see it.) It was from Lissy at glutenfreelissy.com. She thought it would be fun to try and spread a meme around about being gluten free. I agreed, and so here are my answers. Please feel free to answer them yourself on your own blog and spread it around. Just for kicks!
This last weekend, we went to my father-in-law’s place in Big Sur, CA. It is on top of one of the hills on the east side of highway 1. It is just beautiful up there. As you go up the driveway, you can just feel any stress you have leaving your body. That is why I am so disappointed that my memories of this place will be forever tainted with being gluten-ed there on Saturday night.
I’m not even sure if I can trust my memory of what happened at the conference anymore, since it has been so long now. I want to start off by apologizing. I write a series of posts and lag behind on getting the finale up in a timely manner. I guess it’s a good thing I’m not a writer for “Lost.” I don’t think I have millions of people waiting with bated breath for this post, but I do want to be fair for those readers that I do have. So, my apologies. A lot of life stuff has happened to me since the last post. I promise if I ever have a series of posts again, I will have them all written ahead of time, so I can get them up quicker. Thank you for your patience.
So, away we go!
