Gluten-Free Diet Reduces Risk of Type 1 Diabetes in Mice

Well, isn’t this interesting. Seems like the researchers at The University of Copenhagen have been doing some research. They found that having pregnant mice on a gluten-free diet gave their offspring a reduced risk of developing type 1 diabetes.

While we all know that mice are not people, it does give food for thought, so to speak. They are going to continue along with their research. And it is significant enough to be published in the Diabetes journal. Very cool!

Here is the link to a write up. All of the articles I found said almost the exact same thing, so I guess everyone is just quoting a press release. Since I don’t speak or read Danish, I am going by what I read in English.

I am very interested in what they find out in continuing their research. Aren’t you?

Until later, here’s to… Living better, easily!™
