Go Dairy Free Winner, and I’m Taking a Little Break.

First, I just want to let you know that I have finally recovered from the flu enough (not completely, mind you) to pick a winner of the fabulous book, Go Dairy Free, by my friend Alisa Flemming. It is Ariana Anderson, who writes The Frugally Rich Life. Congratulations, Ariana!

The next thing I want to tell you is that I will be taking a break for a while. I am still holding the giveaway for The Cake Mix Doctor Bakes Gluten-Free cookbook. It is open until March 21st, if you want to enter. But, even though I know I don’t post that often, it will be even less for the next couple of months. You see, I am kind of losing my mind. Not literally, but it sure feels like it. We have been a very unhealthy household for the last year and a half. And not the kind of unhealthy most of you beautiful readers are used to. We just can’t stop getting colds and the flu. Among the three of us (The Little Man, The Big Man, and I) one, two or all three of us are always sick. If we are lucky, we get about 3-4 days of all of us being healthy at once before it starts all over again. And, I’m really not exaggerating. Even the Little Man’s preschool teacher says he is way too sick for a toddler.

Like so many others, I have a million irons in the fire, so to speak. Well, I need to let some irons burn away on their own while I tend to the most important irons. Number one being our health. Even though we think we have figured it out, it will require us moving, again. So getting that taken care of is going to take quite a bit of my time, while still trying to take care of us all as we get sick, over and over.

Now, I already have a couple of posts here and there that I have committed to, so I will be posting for sure on those occasions. But it will be sporadic for a while.

The good news is that when I get back to writing on a more consistent basis, I have quite a few cookbooks that are written by friends that I plan on getting and reviewing, which will mean giveaways of those cookbooks. Stay tuned for that.

So, cross you fingers that I write a post in the next couple of months that talks about our wonderful new place to live and how fabulously healthy we are and how we haven’t had the flu or a cold for, well… at least a couple of months.

Until later, here’s to…Living better, easily! (Oh, don’t I wish.)
