Going to the Celiac Disease Foundation Conference

Well, this is going to be a short post. I am just getting on here to say that I am going to the Celiac Disease Foundation conference on Saturday, May 15th. I have to leave tomorrow morning to drive down, so this will be the last post for a while. But I will be back on here early next week to tell you all about it. I don’t have an iPhone, so I can’t tweet from the event.

Anyway, I am very excited. A full day of listening to some world-renowned experts on Celiac Disease and gluten free diet: Peter H.R. Green, MD, Professor of Clinical Medicine, College of Physicians & Surgeons Columbia University, New York, Director, Celiac Disease Center Columbia University, and author of Celiac Disease: A Hidden Epidemic; Sheila Crowe, MD Professor of Medicine, Gastroenterology/Hepatology and Researcher University of Virginia Health System, and author of Celiac Disease for Dummies; Daniel C. Adelman, MD Senior V.P. & Chief Medical Officer Alvine Pharmaceuticals; Shelley Case, BSc, RD Registered Dietitian, author, speaker, leading international nutrition expert on Celiac Disease and the gluten free diet, and author of The Gluten-Free Diet; and Anne Lee, MSEd, RD, CDN Registered Dietician, Certified Diabetes Nutritionist, Director of Nutritional Services for Schär USA food products, and Frank Baldassare, “The Missing Ingredient.”

Wow! That’s a lot of space to say six people.

Plus, there will be lots of samples and goody bags with only gluten free stuff. A gluten free, Bisquick pancake breakfast, gluten free lunch and dinner. I get to be out all day without having to worry about the food I am being served. How marvelous!

And a meet and greet with some of the authors. I think I am going to totally geek-out and bring my books to be signed. Does that make me old or just a nerd? Aren’t I supposed to do that for famous actors or rock stars?

Well, I’m off to get ready. Write back at you soon. Until then, here’s to… Living better, easily!
