Gluten-Free Brownies By Pamela’s Products – The Single Life

The Single Life I am single, again. That’s what it feels like. At least until my husband finally gets home from his hockey game. You see, he was supposed to be home by 8:30pm so I could go grocery shopping at Trader Joes, and they close at 9pm. I was killing time […]

Schär Gluten-Free Products – Will Americans Like Them?

Gluten-Free Penne Pasta Dish The short answer is: YES! What the heck is Schär, you might ask? Well, it is actually a company that has been around since 1922. They started out making baby food, and in 1982, switched to making gluten-free products. They have spent the last, almost 30 years, perfecting their products based […]

Adopt a Gluten-Free Blogger Round-Up for July

This was a rough. I’m not sure I can ever do something like this again. Do you know how hard this was? I had to look at all of these wonderful pictures of all of this fabulous looking food showing up in my email, and I didn’t get to actually eat any of it. Now, […]

Gluten-Free Traveling

I have come to the realization that I am the queen of coming up with amazing ideas… about a day and a half too late. But, they are still pretty good. Alison from Sure Foods Living runs the Gluten Intolerance Group (GIG) meeting that I attend in Marin County, CA. At our last meeting, […]

Adopting Shirley of Gluten-Free Easily (Chicken Enchilada Casserole)

I had a dream. No. Not the cool, Martin Luther King, Jr. kind of I Have a Dream. Just a regular ol’ run-of-the-mill dream. But, I do like the fact that I think about that speech every time I hear the phrase, “I had a dream.” Anyway… I was working downstairs in our basement (that’s […]

My Fabulous Gluten-Free Birthday, Part Two

So, here is part two of our getaway. I’ll just jump right in. After getting all of the fabulous opinions, we headed off on our journey. We made an appointment with Vincent Arroyo Winery for 12:30pm, but on the way, we got stuck behind a painting truck. The kind that paints the stripes on the […]

My Fabulous Gluten Free Birthday

Shhhh. Don’t tell the Big Man that I put a picture of him on here. Well, it came. No matter how much we all wish it wouldn’t. It finally came for me. And it wasn’t so bad. Especially because I made sure it came with style. And fun. And lots of great food and […]

More Chocolate Cake! (Zucchini Muffins?)

I lied to my son. It was minor, and it was to get him to try something good for him, but it was still a lie. I don’t feel very good about it. A lie is a lie, and I don’t want to start down that road. Each lie gets a little bit bigger until […]

Cooking Became Easier, and More Fun, When I Learned [...]

While perusing facebook the other day, I came across a challenge thrown up by Gluten-Free Girl. I am always up for a challenge, and this one seemed fun. Shauna (Gluten-Free Girl) challenged us to write a blog post by Monday (7-5-10) night finishing the sentence, “Cooking became easier, and more fun, when I learned [...]” I had to think for a minute because I have always loved to cook, when I have the time. But I have always been the kind of person to stick with a few recipes and repeat them over and over. Once I found out I couldn’t eat gluten, some of those recipes had to go. That’s ok. They weren’t very healthy for me anyway. So, I thought about it. I thought, and thought, and thought about it. And here is what I came up with.
